How to Read a Warning Label
· 1 min read
A quick, practical guide to understanding warning labels when you shop.
Reading a front of pack warning label takes seconds. Look for the warning symbol on the front of the pack. It flags the nutrients the product is high in.
If a product carries a warning for sugar, salt or saturated fat, try a version that doesn't. Compare two similar products and choose the one with fewer warnings.
Remember: warning labels are about the whole product, not a single nutrient in isolation. A product high in one risky ingredient may still be fine to enjoy occasionally.
